This elicited an hysterical lachweinen in me. Particularly since I decided to finally look at the “updated” MLA job list. You know, the February edition where “most” people landed their first job.
What is it about doing a humanities PhD that causes us to engage in this kind of repetition compulsion?
If you change the name of your blog to Nibelungenblog, you might hear a lot of: “kúndestu nóch geswîgen, daz wæré dir guot.”
