In my column for Slate this week, I go after the Kansas Board of Regents, who recently voted, unanimously, to deny every single employee of a Kansas university the right to blog, Facebook or Tweet under their real name. I really hope this excoriation does the issue justice, and I thank everyone who asked me to write about it, and everyone who blogged about it in the past week. This is a terrifying and unconscionable trend in higher education, and it needs to be stopped.
Wow, I wonder what they do to employees who publish whole books under their real names! Oh, wait…
